| Start by creating a circle using elliptical shape tool. |

| Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Enable add to shape area form the top bar. |
 |
| Create a rectangle for the neck using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Create another rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| With add to shape area still enable create the belly of the bird using pen tool. |

| Using pen tool create a shape as shown. |
 |
| Duplicate and place on the other side. |
 |
| Create hair using pen tool. |
 |
| Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style with the settings shown. |

| Create two ellipses for the eye. |
 |
| Duplicate, scale down and place for the other eye. |
 |
| Using polygon tool create a triangle. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Create a rectangle for the wing using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Enable add to shape area form the top bar. Using polygon tool create a triangle. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Similarly create more shapes and place as shown to complete the wing. |

| Duplicate the wing layer, flip horizontal and place it for the other side. |
 |
| Create a rectangle for the leg using rectangular shape tool. |
 |
| Enable add to shape area form the top bar. Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to get the shape as shown. |

| Using pen tool create a shape as shown in the image below. |
 |
| Create some ellipses for toes. |
 |
| Using pen tool create nails of the ostrich. |
 |
| Duplicate the layer flip it horizontally to create the other leg. |
 |
| Using pen tool create tail wings. |
 |
 |
| Apply a nice gradient to the background. |
